Modder "PureDark" confirms that he'll be publishing an NVIDIA DLSS 3 mod for Starfield once it enters its Early Access period... hours after AMD and Bethesda announce their partnership for Starfield on your Gaming PC.
The news comes from the PC Gaming subreddit, with PureDark being the modder behind DLSS 3 mods for games like Elden Ring, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Skyrim, and Fallout 4. We should see Starfield launching without support for DLSS, given that the developer has teamed with AMD and the Radeon GPUs using FSR... we should expect Starfield without DLSS officially, but unofficially DLSS 3 support will be injected with a mod.
Bethesda has been working with AMD engineers on Starfield's codebase, with AMD SVP Jack Huynh explaining: "These optimizations will both accelerate performance and enhance the quality of your gameplay using high multithreaded code, that both Xbox and PC players will get to take advantage of".
