NVIDIA has just announced that its game-changing DLSS 3 technology is joining Returnal, offering over double the performance on its new GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs.
The company has posted a benchmark chart comparing performance with DLSS disabled, and then again with DLSS 3 enabled... and boy, what a difference it makes. NVIDIA has run Returnal at 4K with Ray Tracing enabled, maxed-out graphics settings, and DLSS 3 on Performance mode. Starting with the just-released GeForce RTX 4070 we have performance skyrocketing from 40FPS to 99FPS average, while the RTX 4070 Ti leaps from 50FPS to 117FPS average.
The beefier high-end RTX 4080 sees its performance jumping from 65FPS average to a whopping 147FPS average while the flagship RTX 4090 spits out a very respectable 84FPS with DLSS 3 disabled, and a mighty impressive 188FPS when DLSS 3 is turned on. Wow... just.... wow.
