NVIDIA's new performance trailer shows Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart running beautifully on the PC, where at the glorious 4K resolution a high-end Gaming PC will run the game at 60-80FPS without any help from the AI-powered upscaling technology DLSS 3. But enable DLSS 3, and performance skyrockets up to a totally-thrash-the-PS5 performance at 200FPS+.

NVIDIA Features In Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart:

  • NVIDIA DLSS 3: AI-powered performance multiplier. At 4K, with all ray tracing effects enabled, and settings maxed, GeForce RTX 4080 and 4090 desktop GPU gamers can experience 140+ FPS gameplay.
  • NVIDIA Reflex: reducing system latency in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart by up to 48%.
  • NVIDIA RTX IO: GPU-accelerated storage technology enables rapid loading of assets.
  • NVIDIA DLAA: an AI-based anti-aliasing mode for users who have spare GPU headroom and want higher levels of image quality.
  • Ray tracing: Ray-traced shadows, ambient occlusion, and reflections will run at the highest speeds possible on dedicated ray tracing cores on each GeForce RTX GPUs

NVIDIA says that its high-end GeForce RTX 4080 and GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards are both capable of pumping 140FPS+ in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart with everything maxed out: graphics settings + ray tracing but enabling DLSS 3 is the real magic here. NVIDIA explains: "The new PC release also features support for 21:9, 32:9 and 48:9 resolutions, triple-monitor Surround gaming, the usual assortment of options to ensure you can play the way that best suits your style, and DualSense controller support, so when playing on a wired connection you can feel in-game actions coming to life in your hands with haptic feedback and dynamic trigger effects".

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart launches on the PC on July 27.
