NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card is out in the wild with reviewers and influencers, with YouTuber JayzTwoCents testing out the custom ASUS DUAL GeForce RTX 4060 variant in Cyberpunk 2077.

If you're in the market for a new GeForce RTX 3060-powered Gaming PC, well we've got plenty of those before the new GeForce RTX 4060 is released. You can check those systems out here -- Ready to Ship Stinger + Hive Gaming PCs powered by GeForce RTX 3060 8GB.

The new GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card was tested in Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p with Ultra graphics settings, with JayzTwoCents hitting 50-60FPS average at 1080p Ultra with RT (ray tracing) disabled. DLSS wasn't used either -- with DLSS being Deep Learning Super Sampling, an AI-powered upscaling technology. DLSS3 is featured in Cyberpunk 2077, the latest and best version of DLSS that's exclusive to the Ada Lovelace GPU architecture and all GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs, including the upcoming GeForce RTX 4060.

JayzTwoCents also overclocked the ASUS DUAL GeForce RTX 4060, cranking up the power limit to 120% and the GPU boost clock up by 100MHz, with a slight bump in performance:

  • ASUS DUAL RTX 4060 in Cyberpunk 2077 @ 1080p Ultra (stock): 80.80FPS
  • ASUS DUAL RTX 4060 in Cyberpunk 2077 @ 1080p Ultra (OC): 82.33FPS

Better yet, Cyberpunk 2077 was run with RT enabled and DLSS3 enabled with FG (Frame Generation) turned on, and the performance skyrocketed. JayzTwoCents went from 50-60FPS average (but with RT disabled) to 100FPS+ with RT enabled (and DLSS3 + FG magic doing its work on the GeForce RTX 4060).

It's safe to say that if you're in the market for a new graphics card that isn't a crazy higher-end RTX 4070 and above, the new RTX 4060 is definitely a card to keep your eyes on... double-y so if you're playing games that have RT, but more especially, DLSS3 upscaling. If the games you play have DLSS3, the RTX 4060 is going to be a monster mid-range GPU.
