It was only a few days ago that we saw the heavily custom, and oh-so-beautiful, ASUS ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card was pushed up to 3.9GHz... but now, now overclocker "Splave" has pushed it past the huge 4.0GHz GPU clock. Your next Gaming PC could be nearly this fast, but prepare your pot of LN2 cooling, and a high-end PSU.
You and I can't buy the ASUS ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 yet, but overclockers have their hands on it, and with a huge pot on LN2 (liquid nitrogen) cooling, the GPU clock was pushed up to 4005MHz (4.0GHz) while GPU temps were super-chill at -34.6C which is crazy cool. The custom ASUS ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 was benched at 4.0GHz+ in GPUPI, which isn't a game but a benchmark, allowing the super-high GPU clock that games wouldn't be stable with.
This achievement is huge, as it comes in just days after 3.9GHz was reached on the ASUS ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090... and hours after the COLORFUL GeForce RTX 4090 iGame LAB Edition hit 3.975GHz by overclocker Cens. The heavily-overclocked ASUS ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 was not only at 4.0GHz+ but it was using a huge 1100W of power while doing so. Heavy.
