The custom ASUS ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 has been in the headlines a few times recently, where it has been battling it out against COLORFUL's custom GeForce RTX 4090 iGame LAB Edition graphics card for the top spot of the #1 overclocked RTX 4090 in the world. Well, ASUS is back, and better than ever... now we just need 4.23GHz+ inside of a Gaming PC, and air-cooled.
Overclocker "SPLAVE" has pushed his ASUS ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 beyond its limits, passing the 4090MHz on the COLORFUL GeForce RTX 4090, reaching an incredible 4230MHz (4.23GHz) GPU boost clock. Considering the reference GPU boost clock if 2520MHz, hitting 4230MHz means we have a huge 68% increase in GPU boost clocks. LN2 cooling was used, while the GPU was idling at 300W.
SPLAVE broke world records in something the overclocker calls the "Rampage World Tour" of the ASUS ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card, where records were broken in Unigine Superposition at 1080p and 8K, with gaming loads seeing the GPU boost hitting 3.9GHz which is a bloody good effort. I'd love to play around with the RTX 4090 @ 3.9GHz inside of one of our Ready to Ship Gaming PCs, oh boy.
In the above shot, you can see the ASUS ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 hitting 4230MHz, where below, we've got the Unigine Superposition 1080p and 8K benchmark records smashed.
