ASUS is proudly announcing a new world record for its ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card, hitting a GPU frequency of 3.94GHz! That overclock inside of a Gaming PC would surely make any game scream, at any and all resolutions.
The company announced its new flagship ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 at Computex 2023 not too long ago, rocking a next-gen AIO cooler that uses liquid TIM application, and also features the highest GPU boost clock of any custom GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card on the market.
ASUS pulled in US overclocker SPLAVE to overclock its custom ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090, where the overclocker used GPUPI v3.3 (32 billion) benchmark, as well as a pot on LN2. The world record was reached when the card was pushed up to an incredible 3945MHz, just a few MHz away from the magical 4.0GHz.
Up until now, the world record for the GeForce RTX 4090 was with the custom COLORFUL iGame GeForce RTX 4090 LAB Edition which reached a GPU clock of 3930MHz, meaning ASUS beat out COLORFUL by 15MHz... and still, just oh-so-shy of 4.0GHz which would be crazy to see on the GeForce RTX 4090.
