AMD's new Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor is now out and in the wild, with the world's fastest gaming CPU now available at Allied Gaming.

Our highest-end, console-killing Patriot and ultra-spec M.O.A.B. Gaming PCs are packing the new AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, providing an unbelievable amount of gaming CPU power that only sips power. We're talking about using just 65W of power under load and running at around 65-70C under gaming and stress loads... and that's with our in-development Sidewinder air cooler. No fancy AIO cooling, just an air cooler keeping the world's best gaming CPU cool.

What makes AMD's new Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor -- and its siblings in the Ryzen 9 7900X3D and Ryzen 9 7950X3D -- so special, is the second-generation 3D V-Cache. What is 3D V-Cache? It's an additional L3 SRAM chiplet, stacked directly into the centre of the compute die (CCD) chiplet, ensuring solution from heat-generating cores.

The Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor features 96MB of second-gen 3D V-Cache, boosting performance in gaming especially -- but also other latency-sensitive applications -- with bandwidth of up to 2.5TB/sec. This is a 25% improvement over the first-gen 3D V-Cache on the popular Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor.

We've been playing with the new AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D here at Allied, where I've personally had some hands-on time with it and it is an astonishing piece of technology. When compared to Intel's flagship Core i9-13900KF processor, AMD totally beats the pants off of Intel with the 7800X3D. For comparisons sake, the Core i9-13900KF will happily consume where between 250W and 300W of power... while the Ryzen 7 7800X3D sips power, consuming just 65W or so under load.

250-300W compared to 65W. Let that sink in for a minute.

On top of that, for the Core i9-13900KF to reach -- and maintain -- its 5.0GHz+ boost clock, you're going to need a 240mm or better yet, a 360mm AIO cooler. AMD's new Ryzen 7 7800X3D is able to boost its 8 cores and 16 threads with its second-gen 3D V-Cache going along with the journey, at up to 5.0GHz on an air cooler.

240/360mm AIO cooler compared to air cooling. Let THAT sink in for a minute, too.

When mixed with a high-end GPU like NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 4090 or GeForce RTX 4080, the new Ryzen 7 7800X3D is an absolute match made in Heaven. Remember, AMD also has its own RDNA 3-powered Radeon RX 7900 XTX that you could also team the 7800X3D with... but whatever high-end GPU you put with it, you're going to have the (gaming) time of your life.

We currently have our Ready to Ship Patriot and Ready to Ship M.O.A.B. configurations with AMD's new Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, you can check them out here.
