AMD is riding high on its custom Radeon GPU designs, after the wicked Radeon RX 7900 XTX Starfield Limited Edition graphics card not too long ago, the company has just revealed another slick custom card: the new Radeon RX 7900 XTX "Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora" Limited Edition graphics card... with get this... thermal reactive paint. It looks SO good, check it out:
AMD has partnered with Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft, the developers of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora (which will be released on December 7) with a new special edition graphics card that gamers will NOT be able to purchase (unfortunately). The new Radeon RX 7900 XTX Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Limited Edition graphics card features the same Navi 31 GPU and 24GB of GDDR6 memory as a regular, non-custom-themed RX 7900 XTX, but has a stunning colour scheme with its reactive thermal paint.
While AMD went with a gorgeous theme for its RX 7900 XTX Starfield GPU, the new RX 7900 XTX Avatar GPU has thermal reactive paint that changes colour as the card itself heats up... slowly revealing the Avatar-themed markings across the card. The pictures and teaser video don't do it justice, this card would look magical in person.
I don't think we've ever had thermal reactive paint on a graphics card, at least not from AMD or NVIDIA... so it's very unfortunate that AMD won't be selling this card to the general public. However, AMD will be giving the new Radeon RX 7900 XTX Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora graphics card away in upcoming promotional events... so keep your eyes peeled.
